Automatic Group RT Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026. Applies to the Automatic Group RT extension for Chrome and Firefox.
Summary
Automatic Group RT works inside your own browser. Your group chats, the post links it collects, your queue, history and settings stay on your device. The only data sent to us is what the license server needs to check your license. We do not sell data, show ads or use analytics or tracking.
Data that stays on your device
To do its job, the extension reads the X (x.com / twitter.com) pages you open with it:
- the names of your X group chats and the messages in the groups you select, to find post links;
- the post pages it opens, to repost them and confirm the result;
- your completion ("Done") message template, settings, queue, run history and activity log.
This data is stored in your browser's extension storage. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. Uninstalling the extension deletes it.
Data sent to the license server
When you log in, and periodically while a license session is active, the extension contacts our license server (Google Cloud Functions and Firestore, region asia-south1). Requests are encrypted. The server stores:
- a SHA-256 hash of your license key (the key itself is not stored);
- the X usernames you link to your license (to enforce the profile limit);
- a random install ID and a device public key created by the extension (to enforce the device limit and verify requests);
- the extension version and your browser's user-agent string;
- a salted hash of your IP address, used only to limit failed login attempts;
- timestamps of activation and last use.
The server sends back a signed license session and signed updates to the page selectors the extension uses. It never sends program code.
Requests to X
The extension acts on X with your existing X login, in your browser, exactly as if you clicked yourself: reading the selected chats, opening posts, reposting and sending your completion message. It may request t.co short links, without cookies, to find the post they point to. X's own privacy policy applies to your use of X.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising or creditworthiness. Google hosts the license server as our service provider.
Retention and deletion
License records are kept while your license is active and up to 12 months after it ends. Devices unused for a long period stop counting toward your device limit. To delete your license records, or to ask what is stored for your license, message us at the contact below.
Children
The extension is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
We will update this page when the extension's data use changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
